Preceptorship

pre·cep·tor·ship (prĭ-sĕp′tər-shĭp′) n. A period of education and practical experience for a student that is supervised by an expert or specialist currently working in a particular field.

At Accademia di Moda (AdM), you’ll do more than learn about fashion…you’ll learn about yourself.  It all starts with our commitment to understanding your needs and our knowledge of what it takes to be successful.  Our Fashion Knowledge and Behavior assessments are designed to help you identify and leverage your strengths.  But that’s only the beginning.

fashion coachAdM Behavioral Coaches work one-on-one with you to create a unique learning plan using innovative instructional practices tailored for every learning style. With their help, you’ll learn how to best apply your strengths in an active learning environment and in the fashion industry. It’s all part of how AdM will help you to successfully design your career path in the fashion industry.

At AdM, we believe your success hinges on more than academics. That’s why some of the most influential people in the fashion industry – AdM Preceptors – will be sharing their insights throughout the  Preceptorship  and at the Summit.

fashion show NYCCombined with online coursework, you will have the opportunity to create a look for a fashion show taking place during a week-long summit in New York City.  The fashion show will benefit Make-A-Wish® Metro New York and Western New York, with all proceeds from ticket sales being donated to help grant wishes.

We’ll pair you with a technical designer and sample maker who will work one-on-one with you to see your vision come to life. After the fashion show, you’ll get the chance to meet with companies who are seeking talented designers like you!

As a graduate of AdM fashion design school, the NYC fashion show is sure to be the signature piece for your resume and portfolio. You’ll agree, nothing beats the AdM experience.
